Viola da gamba virtuoso Richard Boothby returns to the series to deliver a fascinating lecture-recital on the friendship between the composer Carl Frederick Abel and the artist
Thomas Gainsborough, whom he met in Bath in 1760. Richard will be joined by harpsichordist
Andrew Wilson-Dickson and gamba player Lucy Robinson to perform a sonata by Abel. Refreshments before the concert (which starts at 6pm)
